We became salaam because …

We wanted bring people together because we believe collectively we can achieve greater success. So, as Muslims we thought of the one phrase that brings together so many people no matter their ethnicity, language, or culture: Salaam or Assalam’Alaikum, meaning “may peace and blessings of God be upon you”.

Everyone is deserving of a salaam, regardless of their background - just as noble charities and causes are deserving of attention. With Salaam serving as a guiding principle, we have no doubt that together we can change the way the world goes about making a difference.
